Suspect due in court after Lithuanian stabbed to death
A 22-year old man is due to appear before Dublin District Court later today charged in connection with the fatal stabbing of a Lithuanian man at the weekend.
The incident took place at the junction of Portland Row and Summerhill in Dublin's inner city in the early hours of Saturday morning.
The victim, in his late 20s, was found outside a house in St Joseph's Villas and had been stabbed five times.
He died as he was being taken to hospital.
The suspect was arrested in Mullingar on Saturday night and was taken to Mountjoy Garda Station in Dublin.
Meanwhile, another Lithuanian man is in hospital after being seriously wounded in a knife attack in Tallaght yesterday morning.
The man, who was in his 20s, was stabbed in the neck and chest after a row broke out shortly before 3am.
