Dundalk pensioner's home ransacked

A Louth pensioner is recovering this morning after intruders ransacked her Dundalk home and stole cash.

The 79-year-old responded to a knock on her front door yesterday evening and was faced by two men who demanded money.

One sat with her, while the second ransacked her house at Upper Faughart.

Four locals were arrested in connection with the incident, but later released.
