UDA ceasefire formally recognised by British govt

The British government has formally recognised the UDA's ceasefire in a bid to boost the peace process.

The Northern Secretary has given the biggest loyalist paramilitary organisation another chance to prove its credentials after receiving assurances of an end to violence.
