A central figure in the Morris Tribunal threatened legal action today to obtain blood samples taken from his car during the murder probe into the death of Richie Barron in 1996.

A central figure in the Morris Tribunal threatened legal action today to obtain blood samples taken from his car during the murder probe into the death of Richie Barron in 1996.

Frank McBrearty Jnr, who has earlier claimed that gardai planted Mr Barron’s blood in his car to frame him for murder, said he had been trying “constantly” to get the material for three years.
