Combat Poverty calls for increases in social welfare rates

The Combat Poverty Agency has called on the Government to increase social welfare rates in next month's Budget.

The agency briefed the Social Affairs Minister Seamus Brennan today about problems affecting the less well off in Irish society and what the Government could do to alleviate the situation.
