The jury in the trial of a sergeant who is charged with raping a woman in a Donegal garda station has heard a tape recording of part of the accused’s telephone conversation with another garda.

The jury in the trial of a sergeant who is charged with raping a woman in a Donegal garda station has heard a tape recording of part of the accused’s telephone conversation with another garda.

The Central Criminal Court jury has been told that the recording was made from the answering service of the mobile phone owned by the woman’s brother when she called his phone in error from the station while the accused was speaking with gardaí out in the patrol car.
