Gardaí arrest man in stabbing probe

Gardaí in Dublin have arrested a man in connection with a fatal stabbing outside a pub in the west of the city last night.

The 31-year-old victim died in James Connolly Memorial Hospital at around 5am today from multiple stab wounds to the upper body.

He was taken to the hospital after being found lying on the street outside the Buddha Bar in Blanchardstown shortly before midnight.

Gardaí have sealed off the scene to allow for technical examination today and are also expected to review CCTV footage as part of their investigation into the incident.

A local man was also arrested in connection with the incident and is currently “helping gardaí with their inquiries”.
