Union schemes get underway

Members of two of Ireland's biggest unions can access a range of new benefits from group schemes today.

SIPTU and the Technical, Engineering and Electrical Union have launched a new scheme enabling their members to avail of a range of deals on insurance, pensions, mortgages and other financial products.

The deals are being made available under the banner of the Trade Union Federation, which was formed by the two unions in 2002 to maximise the possible savings their members can make through group schemes.
