State mental care standards for addictions criticised

The National Advisory Committee on Drugs has criticised standards of mental care for people with addiction problems in Ireland.

In a report published today, the committee said access to mental health services was limited for people with drug problems and the co-ordination of mental health care and addiction services needed to improve.
