Two bodies recovered from River Barrow

Two men have drowned in the River Barrow after getting into difficulty yesterday evening.

A number of canoeists had set out earlier in the day on the river. It is understood that two of the group got into difficulty at an area known as St. Mullens on the River Barrow just after 6.30pm last night.
