Dáil committee to probe effectiveness of road safety initiatives

Senior gardaí and government officials are due to appear before the Dáil public accounts committee today to explain problems with the implementation of road safety initiatives.

Among the issues up for discussion is a loophole in the penalty points scheme relating to the drivers of company cars and the effectiveness of speed cameras.
