Overnight storms wreak havoc in south and east

Overnight storms have wrought havoc throughout the south and east of the country, with Cork, Waterford and Wexford all experiencing the worst flooding they have seen for decades.

The adverse weather conditions have caused millions of euro worth of damage, mainly in Cork, where much of the city centre was under water for hours.
