Storm knocks out power supplies in Co Cork

A powerful storm that is expected to affect all parts of Ireland over the next two days has already knocked out power to thousands of homes in parts of Co Cork.

The storm is due to lash the country with heavy rains and winds of up to 80mph for the remainder of today and much of tomorrow.
