Primary pupils across the country get a break from schoolwork today to help raise funds for children with dyslexia.

Primary pupils across the country get a break from schoolwork today to help raise funds for children with dyslexia.

The National Game Playing Day will involve some 40,000 students playing board games to help raise funds to support special teaching for disadvantaged children with dyslexia.

Anne Hughes, of the Dyslexia Association of Ireland, said the group was hoping for a repeat of last year's success in raising over €60,000.
