Murphy and Ahern to discuss ongoing impasse in peace process
Northern Secretary Paul Murphy is due to meet Foreign Affairs Minister Dermot Ahern today to discuss the ongoing impasse in the Irish peace process.
The meeting comes amid speculation that the IRA is preparing for a significant act of decommissioning within the next two weeks.
The IRA was believed to be on the verge of such a move last month until negotiations at Leeds Castle collapsed because of the DUP's demands for changes to the workings of the suspended Northern Assembly.
