The course of the fatal bullet through a murder victim’s head was confirmed at a murder trial at the Central Criminal Court today.

Dr Declan Gilsenan, assistant to the State pathologist, told the court on the fifth day of the trial of Shay Wildes (aged 36) from Corbally Park, Tallaght, Dublin, that the .38 inch calibre bullet’s tract through the deceased’s head was "approximately horizontal".
