Security stepped up amid terrorist threat in NI

Dissident republican terrorists are planning to attack members of the security forces in Northern Ireland, it emerged tonight.

Security force patrols have been stepped up in the mainly unionist town of Ballymena, Co Antrim in response to intelligence that an attack is imminent.
