Rural Transport Initiative to run until 2006

The Rural Transport Initiative has been extended.

The scheme, which carries more than 300 passengers annually, will run for another two years to the end of 2006.

It is used by people living in remote areas to get to and from towns and villages for vital services.

Free-travel pass holders are eligible to use the service.
