New radio station on air in South Donegal, Sligo and Leitrim

Ireland's newest local radio station, Ocean FM, has gone on air today.

The new station will be broadcasting in South Donegal, Sligo and North Leitrim from studios in all three counties.

The new station has signed a 10-year contract with the Broadcasting Commission of Ireland.

North-West Radio, which had been broadcasting to the area, ceased operations yesterday.
