Fire causes major damage at Co Galway meat plant

A huge fire has caused major damage to parts of the Duffy’s meat factory in Gort, Co Galway.

Seven units of the fire brigade from Gort, Loughrea, Galway city and Ennis were called in to tackle the fire, which broke out shortly before 7am and is believed to have started in the roof of the building.
