A 48-year-old man is a serious condition in Dublin's Mater hospital after being assaulted by a gang of teenagers last night.

A 48-year-old man is a serious condition in Dublin's Mater hospital after being assaulted by a gang of teenagers last night.

He suffered vicious head and facial injuries in the incident close to Binns Bridge, by the Royal Canal in Drumcondra between 9.30 and 9.45pm.
