Today marks the start of Positive Ageing Week, which is aimed at promoting the good aspects of growing older and encouraging greater links among generations.

The initiative, launched by Age Action Ireland, will be marked by a conference on Thursday at Dublin Castle, one day ahead of the United Nations Day for Older People on October 1.
