Teens would prefer later confirmation

The majority of Irish teenagers want to wait until they are 16 before being confirmed, according to a survey conducted for a new book on attracting young people to the church.

The survey shows that 54% of secondary school pupils think the sacrament should be postponed until they can make better choices about their faith.
