Minister for Foreign Affairs Cowen has announced $600,000 (€488,000) in funding for Irish immigration centres in the United States.

Minister for Foreign Affairs Cowen has announced $600,000 (€488,000) in funding for Irish immigration centres in the United States.

Speaking in New York last night, Mr Cowen said 12 centres would benefit from the money, which represented a 70% increase on the funding provided by the Government last year.
