Man held after drugs seized from car
Police in Northern Ireland have made an overnight discovery of drugs including crack cocaine and speed in a car.
The seizure was made in the Holy Lands area of south Belfast during a routine vehicle check just after midnight.
Bars of cannabis resin valued at around £2,000 (€2,931) each were also confiscated along with 2,000 Ecstasy tablets.
A man in his 30s was arrested by officers from Donegall Pass police station for possession of Class A and Class B drugs and possession with intent to supply.
The Holy Lands area is popular with university students seeking accommodation.
Police have also asked anyone who witnessed any suspicious activity in the Holy Lands last night to help their investigation.
