Car plunges into Co Cork river

A car has plunged off the road into a swollen river in Co Cork.

It happened near Bantry in the valley of the Coomhola Mountains at about 3.30pm. Gardaí believe there was one adult and one or two children in the vehicle at the time.

Rescue services have been sent to the scene.
