Second LUAS line opens this month

The Rail Procurement Agency has announced that the second line in Dublin's new LUAS tram system will be officially opened on Tuesday, September 28.

The Red Line from Tallaght to Connolly Station will be opened by the Taoiseach Bertie Ahern.

The public will be offered six days of free travel on the line before the company operating the system begins charging fares.

The LUAS Green Line between St Stephen's Green and Sandyford was opened at the end of June.
