Sligo man seeking presidential nomination

A Sligo man has announced his intention to seek a nomination for the up-coming presidential election.

Kevin Lee said today that he had already asked Clare County Council to put his name forward for the election, which takes place on October 22.

Mr Lee needs the support of four county councils to get his name on the ballot paper. He said he wanted to contest the election to highlight "low moral and ethical standards in Irish society".
