US envoy to attend North talks at Leeds Castle next week

US President George W Bush’s special envoy to Ireland is to participate in next week’s make-or-break negotiations on the Irish peace process, according to sources in the United States.

The sources said Mitchell Reiss’ presence at the talks was a sign of how seriously they were being taken by the Bush administration.
