Three overnight accidents result in six deaths
Three people have died in County Tipperary following a road accident in the early hours of the morning.
The two-car collision in Drom, near Templemore, killed the two men travelling in the front seat of one car and a female passenger in the back seat of the other vehicle.
Three others, including the woman driving the second car, were injured.
All of the injured have been taken to Nenagh Hospital.
The accident took place at 3.40am.
And in Cork, a 22-year-old French man died after his motorcycle hit a tree on the North Mall in the city centre yesterday evening.
The man’s pillion passenger, also a 22-year-old French man, was injured in the accident, which took place at about 8.30pm.
Two people also died after a car and a motorcycle collided in Co Wexford early yesterday evening.
The collision happened at Farmleigh on the main Bunclody to Enniscorthy Road around 6.00pm, when a car and a motorcycle were in collision.
The driver of the car, a woman in her 60s, and the motorcyclist, a man in his 30s, were both killed in the crash.
