Waterford gardaí treating woman’s death as murder

Gardaí in Waterford have launched a murder investigation after a post mortem on the body of a woman found yesterday revealed that she died a violent death.

The body of 54-year-old Mary Walsh was found in the boot of her car on Cathal Brugha Street at lunchtime yesterday. She is believed to have suffered neck and facial injuries.
