Family terrorised during brutal Derry robbery

A gang of masked men terrorised a couple and their three teenage sons during a robbery in Co Derry last night.

The raiders forced their way into the house in Castledawson at around 11.30pm.

They assaulted the man of the house and used a stun gun on him before demanding money.

The family handed over a substantial amount of cash, but the raiders insisted on more and then threw one of the teenage boys into a bath full of water and also threatened to use the stun gun on him.

The family were then tied up and locked in the attic before the gang fled.
