New wage agreement proposals endorsed by IBEC

The employers' federation IBEC has today endorsed proposals for the second phase of the national wage agreement, but stated that the pay terms attached to Sustaining Progress are the limit of what their members can afford.

The employers' federation IBEC has today endorsed proposals for the second phase of the national wage agreement, but stated that the pay terms attached to Sustaining Progress are the limit of what their members can afford.

Director general of IBEC, Turlough O Sullivan, stated that if jobs in manufacturing and engineering are to be maintained, unions and employers must adhere to both the spirit and letter of the agreement.
