Adams: Ceasefire proves IRA committed to peace

Sinn Féin president Gerry Adams has said the IRA’s ongoing cessation of military activities proved that it was genuinely committed to the peace process.

In a statement to mark the 10th anniversary of the first IRA ceasefire, Mr Adams said the cessation was the only remnant of the peace process that was still intact.
