Taoiseach urged to press for UN intervention in Sudan

Irish aid agency GOAL has called on the Taoiseach Bertie Ahern to use his influence to press for UN Security Council intervention in Sudan.

A UN deadline for the Sudanese government to ease the crisis in the Darfur region of the country expires today.
