Brinks workers begin third day of strike action
Workers at the Brinks Allied security firm in Dublin are beginning their third day of strike action this morning.
The workers began the strike on Monday after the company rejected a Labour Court proposal aimed at resolving the dispute, which centres on the introduction of new security vans and procedures.
Staff believe the new vans and procedures would leave them more vulnerable in the event of a robbery.
Their union, SIPTU, has accused Brinks of deliberately provoking the dispute as an excuse to wind down its Irish operations.
