Derry joyrider knocks down six-year-old, flees

A six-year-old boy is in hospital in the North after he was hit by a stolen car in Derry yesterday evening.

The boy was knocked down in Ederowen Park in the city shortly after 6pm.

The driver of the car abandoned the vehicle and was seen running away from the crash scene.

The boy is being treated for a cut to his head and is being kept in hospital for observation.
