Late Limerick politican's brother allegedly attacked

The brother of the late Limerick councillor, Michael Kelly, was treated in hospital today after he was involved in a violent incident near Limerick prison.

Anthony Kelly was taken to the Mid-Western Regional Hospital where he was treated for a number of injuries to the head and body. It is understood Mr Kelly was involved in a fracas with at least two other men at Roxboro lane off Roxboro Road at around 11.30am this morning.
