Concern at soap opera rape storyline

The Rape Crisis Network has expressed concern concerned at a soap opera storyline that portrays a false allegation of rape.

Fair City shows a girl being forced to lie about being raped. The Rape Crisis Network says that the myths which exist in this country about false allegations of rape empower the attackers.

Spokeswoman Fiona Neary says too many people already believe that a large number of women make up lies about being raped.
