Two elderly women rescued from Wicklow mountains

Two women in their 60s were brought to safety by the mountain rescue services this morning after losing their way while hill-walking in Co Wicklow.

The two Sister of Mercy nuns raised the alarm after getting lost in the Wicklow Mountains as darkness set in last night.

They were located at around 1am this morning in the Inchavore Valley near Lough Dan and were guided back to their car.
