Man arrested after fatal Limerick stabbing

Gardaí in Limerick have arrested a man in connection with a fatal stabbing in the city last night.

The body of the victim, who was in his 30s, was found on Broad Street in the city just after midnight.

He was taken to the Midwest Regional Hospital, where he died a short time later.

The scene of the discovery has been sealed off for technical examination. A post mortem is due to be carried out later today.
