Body recovered from sea in Galway

The body of a man has been recovered from the sea at Nimmos Pier in Galway this morning.

A passer-by found the body, believed to be that of a man in his 30s, near the Spanish Arch at about 7am.

The deceased man has not yet been formally identified and has been removed to the morgue at University College Hospital Galway.
