Neighbours find woman's body
An elderly woman’s body was found today after neighbours broke into her home in Derry.
Blood stains were spotted in the house at Glendermott Road in the Waterside area of the city.
Police are not treating the death as suspicious, a spokesman confirmed.
As detectives waited for a post mortem to be carried out, it emerged that relatives of the woman, believed to have been in her 60s, raised the alarm after attempts to contact her failed.
Other residents in the area then forced their way in and made the discovery just before midday.
The house was sealed off to allow a full examination of the scene.
