Young man seriously injured in Kerry hit-and-run

A man was seriously injured this morning in Tarbert, Co Kerry, in a hit-and-run incident.

It happened at about 1.45am in Ballydonohoe.

The man, who is in his early 20s, was taken to Cork University Hospital and is believed to be in a serious condition.

A man in his 30s was arrested a short time later on suspicion of drink driving.
