70% of motorists say it's okay to speed

Around 70% of Irish motorists believe it is acceptable to drive at 10mph above the speed limit, new figures revealed today.

The National Safety Council described the findings as disturbing as it emerged 40% of drivers believe it is acceptable to break the speed limit on local and regional roads where the majority of fatal accidents occur.
