North West Radio appeals court decision

The Sligo local radio station North West Radio has announced plans to mount a Supreme Court appeal in an effort to prevent the loss of its broadcasting licence.

The station said today that it planned to appeal a High Court ruling refusing an application for a judicial review of the Broadcasting Commission’s decision not to renew the licence.
