Irish road habits to be studied in new survey
A survey of motoring habits intends to find out why Ireland has such a bad road safety record.
FBD Insurance and Advance Pitstop are teaming up to ask 1,200 motorists their views on a range of driving-related issues throughout the month of August.
Questionnaires will be available at the outlets of both companies.
Adrian Taheny from FBD is urging drivers to honestly appraise their skills.
"This is an anonymous survey," he said.
"We are not asking for the forms back with people's names on it.
"In fact, we encourage people to take the Freepost envelope and post it in to us so that they are not giving away information directly about themselves.
"Our staff will be explaining to people how important it is to give an honest response.”
