Govt planning €2.5bn pre-election health splurge

The Government is reportedly planning a multi-billion euro spending spree on health in the run-up to the next general election.

Reports this morning said the Department of Health and Department of Finance had reached a deal to invest €2.5bn in healthcare between now and 2008.
