Weather and accidents mar pilgrimage

The annual pilgrimage to Croagh Patrick is being hampered by poor weather conditions and an increasing number of injuries have been reported.

Tens of thousands have turned up to climb Ireland's highest mountain, commemorating Saint Patrick's 40 day fast on the peak.

Mayo Mountain Rescue are warning people to turn back as conditions on the mountain area are treacherous.
