Co Kilkenny body post mortem results expected today

The results of a post mortem examination on a body found yesterday in south County Kilkenny are expected later today.

The examination is being carried out by the State Pathologist, Dr Marie Cassidy at St Luke's Hospital in Kilkenny City.

The partly decomposed body was found in a ditch close to a stream near Pilltown at around midday yesterday.

Gardaí believe the woman may have been dead for over a month, and are continuing to investigate the circumstances surrounding the death.
